I am not going to sit here and go into a rant about left, or right or whats the solution is to the countries problems. I do not have all the answers.
With that being said, I do not believe any one person has all the answers. I do believe that collectively when people work together, they can achieve greatness! We have gridlock in our government. People are not working together. They are working for each other and self preservation.
This is something that is not new to D.C. I think its been there for ages! The difference is we can see it more easily and with the media and 24/7 news cycle. The other part of all this is there are people that truly want to change this country. These people live in D.C. which is the only city seeing continual job growth.
The rest of the country is suffering in my opinion. Drought, continual high unemployment, sluggish growth in the GDP, and Medicare just to name a few. I do not have the answers to these problems and some there are none except to pray. :-) If people would WORK TOGETHER, we might see some progress. You can not spend all your time talking about what the other side is not doing or trying to do to impede progress. Stop talking and work it out. Get together, solve some problems and make a difference! That is what people in Washington are there for and they are not doing their jobs.
We can debate all which direction this country should go in the future. There are some certainties that do exist. If we do not bring down our debt, our economy will collapse. If we do not cut waste, not matter how small it might be, we will never get ahead of the problems in this country. It will also not allow us to expand assistance that our government provides that many of us can agree need to continue for future generations.
How can a government expect its citizens to act appropriate, and responsibly, when the government itself does not do that at any time. The government has its own rules for itself. They give themselves pay raises and even vacations. I don't remember voting or any voting the American people did to allow the government to do as they please at any time.
Set aside left or right and start with the basics. This is what a lot of people have to do when starting over, whether it is in a new job, or career path. Once you conquer the little projects, you can move onto the bigger tasks.
In later posts I am sure there will be plenty of time to bash me for what I believe. This however is some thoughts that needs to get people to "Take that step back" and look at the big picture. We have problems in this country and they are not going away.
