Seems like an odd combination. They go together more then some would believe.
Rain has been an essential part of our Ecosystem since the beginning of time. Mother nature and the earth tend to run in cycles. According to an article in the NYTimes. It shows the earth is warming faster then then previously thought. Now some will say that we are destroying the earth and fossil fuels are killing our ecosystem. So my question to them is this, "If our industrialized nation is causing the warming now, what caused it 4000 years ago when there were no factories, cars, trucks, or refinery plants?"
It's easy for people to blame what is happening right now on the problems. There very well may be influential factors all around us. The one step I think people are missing has to do with, what caused it back thousands of years ago? We have gone through a large and mini ice age on earth. Both prior to the so called problems of today's' world.
To be honest there are a multitude of problems with this entire situation.
So that brings me back to rain. I love the rain, I always have since I was a kid. In the country at our old place, we lived in a 1950's farm house that had no central air or heat. We had a gas stove in the living room. A water cooler in the kitchen and a window unit in the living room. I grew up with windows open and the sound and smell of the rain coming through. Its was a great way to grow up. Cattle did better, more grass, better crops, and better times when it rained.

- News today is no longer unbiased. The news stations and reporters have an agenda and they are going to follow it through to the end!
- I do not put a lot of faith in the NY Times. The reporting appears to be spotty at best.
- The new research station in Antarctica has some great technology and hopefully scientist will learn a lot about the earth and its history.
What I really do not understand is why do people have to be dead set on destroying others. Whether it be political, personal, or other. There are people that spend all day doing nothing but searching and posting items online about the left or the right and MOST do not even check the facts.
I grew up in a house where my parents did not always agree on all issues. They discussed it and moved on to something else. Where does the hate come from and why must people be yelling about everything? I know a lot of people on both sides of the table, Left and Right. I can say without a doubt, one side has more pictures, articles and postings online about what is wrong with the other side. I am amazed. A lot of it is hate filled and inaccurate which is even more disturbing.

If we as a society continue to use information that is factually wrong, continue to bash and degrade others just for the their political views we as a country will continue to decline. Everyone needs to start looking at items that really matters and start looking at issues from a holistic perspective. (I do not mean organic or herb medicine either! lol) People need to understand that if we do not get the rain that canceled their soccer game or ruined a day at the park. The cost of that will affect everyone. Less rain equals less food. Period. There is no other way around it.
So in the cycle of life, it all comes back to rain, family and politics. If you do nothing but BASH other groups then your children will grow up to do the same bashing. This applies to more then groups of people. This applies to philosophies, and ideas as well. If you limit your ideas and philosophies then you are limiting our future.
