I love puzzles. The ones where you have to put the pieces of a picture together all the way up to Sudoku's. There is something about taking all these different pieces and being able to put them into a correct answer.
The older we get as humans, I believe we do get wiser. I think most people learn from their experiences and even mistakes. Well, I hope I have learned A LOT!! The one thing I do know is the older I get the more I want to call Bull Shit when I see or hear certain peoples opinions. Something else I have found is I can do the puzzles a lot faster and love a good challenge.
I think the modern media is a huge puzzle. The problem is only a few of the pieces are those strange irregular shapes that do not fit anywhere. The rest of the entire outline of the picture or all the 1's for my Sudoku fans who play on their smart phones. (You get the least points for the 1's it seems). The mass media has been enthralled lately with the Jodie Arias trial. A woman who admitted to killing her boyfriend, however said he was abusive. She stabbed him repeatedly, almost severing his head, and there was no evidence of abuse. My first thought is GUILTY!! And sure enough she was found guilty.
Meanwhile, there is another trial. One that has much more far reaching implications. The Dr. Kermit Gosnell trial is about an abortion Dr who performed horrific acts in his clinic. This is not a debate on abortion, to each his own. This is about pieces to a puzzle. An article in the Huffington Post recently shows some information about the trial. This "Dr." performed partial and late term abortions. There were 7 or 8 people of his staff that has already pleaded guilty to these crimes and testified against Gosnell. This is not just 1 or 2 disgruntled workers. This is almost his entire office. He claims he was doing a service to the community. The media and especially the left have ignored or talked down this trial as nothing more then a witch hunt. The problem is, he did horrible acts to people and unborn babies. He is a monster in my book.
The Media has hardly covered the Gosnell Trial at all. There has only been 1 or 2 that have mentioned it on a regular basis and that is mainly at a local level. Fox News has been good about daily coverage of the trial. Nothing like the lady who chopped up her boyfriend and screamed abuse. This was a Dr performing legal medical acts and it cost the lives of many.
The next example is the Bengazi scandal. Our government lied to not only the American people, but to also the victims families. There have been similar times in our history when our government has lied and its not been ok. The cover up of the Watergate Scandal comes to mind. The Watergate scandal was a political scandal that occurred in the United States in the 1970s as a result of the June 17, 1972, break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate office complex in Washington, D.C., and the Nixon administration's attempted cover-up of its involvement. The scandal eventually led to the resignation of Richard Nixon, the President of the United States, on August 9, 1974 — the only resignation of a U.S. President. The scandal also resulted in the indictment, trial, conviction, and incarceration of forty-three persons, dozens of whom were Nixon's top administration officials.
There were many people involved with that scandal and in the bringing down of President Richard Nixon. There was a certain individual as well that had a ring side seat for that impeachment. During their postgraduate study, they served as staff attorney for Edelman's newly founded Children's Defense Fund in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and as a consultant to the Carnegie Council on Children. In 1974 they were a member of the impeachment inquiry staff in Washington, D.C., advising the House Committee on the Judiciary during the Watergate scandal. Under the guidance of Chief Counsel John Doar and senior member Bernard Nussbaum, they helped research procedures of impeachment and the historical grounds and standards for impeachment. The committee's work culminated in the resignation of President Richard Nixon in August 1974. This person was Hillary Clinton.
This is a really long post. I know! There are some key points to be made here that I believe are important and vital. Just because the news you watch everyday and have for years gives you information. That does not always mean its both sides of the story. Also, if you only listen to the masses of the media and do not start looking at the individual pieces of each story or event. Then you will not be able to get the entire picture or to put the puzzle together.
Its a little ironic that many people just blow off the deaths of children, or ambassadors and their staff. Yet they seemed so focused on pointing the finger and saying, Bush did it too, or we need more gun laws. They area also more focused on what people like Kim Kardashian are doing then what their own government is doing. You have to see all the pieces laid out before you can really start to finish the puzzle.
If we can but prevent the government from wasting the labours of the people, under the pretence of taking care of them, they must become happy.
