Hypocrisy

     Webster dictionary defines hypocrisy as "a feigning to be what one is not or to believe what one does not; especially : the false assumption of an appearance of virtue or religion". Now we all know that it boils down to people saying one thing and doing another. This is a pretty clear definition of the word and should not be confused by anyone. The problem is, a lot of people tend to be blind to the hypocrisy around them all the time.  

     Part of being an adult and taking responsibility should be the law of the land. If I don't pay my taxes, or a fine or a bill. Bad things can and usually happen. I am a big believer in do onto others as you would have them do onto you.  Something about the golden rule in there and normally works great! 

     We see hypocrisy in every part of our lives. The problem is most of us do not take the time to take  step back and analyse what is being said. We take it for face value.  What does this mean?  For me it means that we are doing nothing more then people are idiots! 

     So here is a prime example of hypocrisy.  The Democratic party has a philosophy that everyone gets a fair shot. Its on their website so you can check it out yourself. Then people who are so called democrats start tweeting profanities of a person who gets fairly elected by the people in a state. This is in reference to Mark Sanford in S.C. Now I am not saying that Conservatives or Republicans are not exempt from being hypocrites. When it comes to Obamacare the House and Senate want to exclude themselves from the law. This is something they have a habit of doing, setting themselves apart from others. I am pretty sure they are no better then anyone else.  

     What I am saying is, democrats and liberals have also had a policy of tolerance, and acceptance. This is not acceptance. This is hate speech!  Democrats and liberals love to promote the voice and words of Martin Luther King Jr. A man who truly believed in nonviolent protest and response. He was a very smart man who had a huge impact on this country.

     When a person or persons accuses others of voting and being uneducated, ignorant, or even stupid then that is just wrong. When they start using profanities to say it, that turns into hate speech. Just because people are from the country and maybe redneck, does not mean they do not know what they are doing or how they are voting.  Mark Sanford went on a campaign actually explaining what happened when he cheated on his wife and resigned many years ago.  This is something that we as people should be cheering for from politics. Someone honest and stands up and says, I made a mistake, I am still a person who can do good things for my state.   

     So let me get this straight. It's not ok for conservatives to criticize POTUS, Reed, Pelosi, or  heaven forbid, Hillary Rodhman Clinton.  Then liberals turn and use hate speech to people they do not know, that are not public figures and voting for what they believe is best for their state. That in my mind is Hypocrisy.  You call it hate speech when your ideas and beliefs are opposed or questioned. Or when someone says something against the POTUS. However, every person  that thinks they are better then others, throw negative terms about Rednecks, country folk and conservatives are not being hateful. They are being honest? Well that just pings my B.S. meter.  

     Respect is something that is earned in every society. You have to treat others with respect. There are a lot of people, most in D.C., that do not treat others with respect. POTUS has done it on many occasions. Pelosi and Reed both have done this as well.  If you are a true seeker of knowledge and to be educated on both sides. Then take time to see how many posts are made with a negative connotation from the left and the right in D.C.  My money is on the Democrats winning that bet! 

     Hypocrisy is a topic that touches all of our lives. It is a word that means a lot, however is not always used correctly.  People in D.C. need to be thrown out with the exception of a few from both sides that have recently shined as doing good things for the country and raising good questions.  The only one who can stop people from being hypocrites are the people that question it when it happens. 

      Remember, just because people are sinners does not mean they should not go to church. People go to church to be forgiven for their sins and to find salvation. Hypocrisy is claiming you know what a person is thinking when you are not in their heads or hearts.

Clean your Windshield

It’s that time of year where people will have the “new year, new me” phrase going strong. For many that will last about 2-3 weeks.  For others they will last well into mid-year. I am of the philosophy that you should make changes immediately in life. If you need to start eating healthier then go to the cupboard and fridge and throw out all unhealthy food. If you are going to stop drinking, throw out all your booze. (Rest a sure this will not happen in my house.) If you are going to start working harder on your livestock, turn off your phones and get to the barn. If you are going to sit back and re-evaluate your life while planning for new adventures, sit down and make a list. Every one of these goals requires you to clean your windshield to see what is ahead of you.  As we go down the highway of life we have a big broad windshield in front of us. It is Just a Show

  In the beginning I was not a watcher or a fan. There was a lot of talk. Chatter online. Then I decided to tune and check out all the hype. There is cattle, ranching, horses, politics, drama, and suspense. This show was a creation from the mind of a very creative horse jockey. The story is well written, the acting is superb, and the raw attitude is what brings people back each week. This show hits an audience that is hungry for real talk, real action, and real results. The bad part is it is all fiction.  The show is full of wrong information. Actions that make no sense. Calves do not jump up and start running immediately after being born. Most cattle ranches don’t take their hands and shoot them off a cliff if their employment has ended. They don’t brand their workers for show of loyalty.
