Music is something I have loved from a very young age. My mother sang and played piano while my sister was always the rebel and taught me about rock and roll (when it was still good music). Country music has been a favorite of me for years.
I also love to read. When I was younger I did not get into reading much, as I got older I found a passion for it and still love to read to this day. Usually 2-3 books at a time and a variety of books as well.
Another passion I have developed over the years is a love of running. (Don't laugh!!) When I actually get to run or get on an elliptical and to work out it makes me feel so good.
Strange trio to talk about at once I know, however, there is a method to my madness!
All these items do something for me and a lot of people benefit. Stories are told, thoughts are processed, and minds are enlightened. I do believe that we are better individuals if we open our minds and read more, listen to music and even get outside and do something constructive. The Band Perry is a hot country trio that has some really great songs out there and the last hit is one called, "Done". Great song and a great theme!
There are times in my life when I really want to me done with a situation or move on from certain events. When that happens, I actually find solace in reading, working out, or even music. It's a great way to escape and get away from the real world. The bad part is, when you get done, reality hits again and you have to decide what to do next. The good part is, when I am done I usually know exactly what I need and want to do for my next step.
Finding that "happy place" is important to us all. We need to take time to evaluate the right actions. We need to know that what we do will or will not affect others in a negative way and if it does, are we morally okay with that step.
There are times when we make that finale decision to speak our minds and be heard, or walk away to fight a better fight at another time. It's hard to walk away from a situation that you really want to speak your mind and let someone know what you think. I find that I would rather voice my words to people that are willing to listen, not those who are closed to any other ideas.
Okay, a lot of rambling I know! Now, for the good stuff. SHUT UP! Some people talk just to hear their own voice. They are useless! Some people talk as if they are high society and came from nothing like a lot of us. Others use people for their own needs and they don't even know they are doing it. People in general can be very selfish. I will be the first to admit. Others, are so giving, they don't even realize the good work.
As humans our time is valuable. Every minute we spending worrying or thinking about a situation is time that we take away from other important items in our life. We are letting others rent space in our minds when they do not deserve to be in our neighborhood.
It's okay to take time to listen to music, read a good book or run around the block. Everyone needs to clear their head and thoughts to get a more clear picture. There has been more the one time in my life when I finally had to say I am DONE with a person or situation. It has always been the right decision when I have left it behind.
I am a believer that people come into our lives for a reason. I believe we should always been friendly and cordial when dealing with others. Taking the high road is always the best option in my book. FYI, taking the high road does not mean being more sarcastic or snide. It means a gentleman or a lady always knows the right time to exit. Some people come into our lives to remind us how good we really have it already. Others come into our lives to enhance it to a level we could never have imagined.
So just remember, there are times when we all need a good book, a good song, or a long run to get our heads back on straight. It helps also to keep an open mind and try to have positive thoughts. It helps me I know.

" Good to know, but how could you just walk away from someone you claimed was your best friend without so much as a good-bye. How did you convince yourself that, that was ok?
