So let me get this straight.....

There has been a lot going on in the news and world.  I have had a hard time focusing on a topic that I wanted to write about.  There have been some items come across my news feeds that makes me think, WHAT???!!!!  Let me get this straight.  SO here it goes and enjoy.

So let me get this straight...

  • In a 2012 POTUS debate, Ann Romney wore a $1,690 Oscar de la Renta dress and was criticized by the left media.  While First Lady Michelle Obama wore a dress that cost twice as much and nothing was said.  They were both paid for by the fruits of hard work, Romney's by theirs, Obama's by ours. (Nothing is still mentioned when the First Lady wears very expensive gowns, it's okay I guess.)
  • The Democrats want everyone to believe that you do not need to work as much, spend more time with your family and follow your dreams.  That is fine except someone has to PAY FOR IT ALL.  There is nothing free in this world.
  • The country and government spent BILLIONS of dollars on Obamacare to cover people that need insurance.  Only to create a system that costs more than what we had before, put more people on the government dime and still not cover about 31 million people.  This is obviously a better way than to correct the healthcare problems individually.
  • There are people, companies and organizations who try with all their heart and passion to encourage people to work, buy local, and spend money that stays in America.  Recent Walmart annoucement for example.  Yet some people can not just take a good deed and work for the good of all people.  Click on the name Mike Rowe to see what I am talking about.  A very good read.
  • Its not okay for anyone to criticize someone of a minority race, group, sexual orientation.  At the same time, people from these groups spend hours spewing hatred remarks and quote "jokes" about conservatives, and it's alright.
  • Single men like myself with no kids who works 40 plus hours a week, is suppose to support and believe that the government knows what best to do with my money.  An example is the tax refunds everyone is getting and those people who have kids get THOUSANDS of dollars.  Extremely more than they paid into the system.  While I get hardly nothing back and usually have to pay more for taxes.  (Look at your W-2 and see what you actually paid in versus what you get back.)
  • The government is suppose to be the leader in creating jobs, while most of the people in D.C. are criminals who were mostly lawyers living off the spoils of others.  A majority of the people running our government have never ran their own business, had to make payroll, or have not worked 40 hours in such a long time, they are out of touch with the real world. (Dems preaching that staying home with the family is a good thing, the rich will pay your way.)
  • Let me get this straight, there is no connection or wrong doing by the IRS in targeting people or groups when the investigation has not really gone anywhere or shown any information.
  • I am suppose to accept all minority groups of people for who they are and what they believe or want to do with their life with no questions asked.  On the flip side I cannot say bless you, thank you god, in public or pray as a christian or speak my mind against those groups because it is not what those people want to hear or considered hate speech or racist.
These are some pretty random thoughts I know.  At the end of it all, we have to sit back and ask ourselves on the big decisions we make in life, will this make me a better person, will it improve the life of my family or my country.  You can sugar coat any topic and try to make it sound better than what it really is, the problem is, when you put sugar on crap, it's still crap.

People, get off your asses, get a job, get out of the house, support your country, the troops, and a better way of life.

You are a special kind of stupid aren't you?

I started this post the other day and it was titled something else and decided to change it since people never cease to amaze me. I know a lot of people. They either worked with me, were one of my employees when I managed people, or friends and family.  I like to follow a wide variety of people on my twitter account.  I think it's important to get a well rounded idea of what people think and believe.      There are some horrific tragedies that have occurred in our country.   They are tragedies that we have seen in the past and will continue to see in the future.  We as Americans come together and support each other, we provide support, food, money, and a prayer.  All are important to the process of rebuilding their lives that have been destroyed.      Theordore Rosevelt was fond of the West African Proverb "Speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far." Pretty good saying in my book. ...

Clean your Windshield

It’s that time of year where people will have the “new year, new me” phrase going strong. For many that will last about 2-3 weeks.  For others they will last well into mid-year. I am of the philosophy that you should make changes immediately in life. If you need to start eating healthier then go to the cupboard and fridge and throw out all unhealthy food. If you are going to stop drinking, throw out all your booze. (Rest a sure this will not happen in my house.) If you are going to start working harder on your livestock, turn off your phones and get to the barn. If you are going to sit back and re-evaluate your life while planning for new adventures, sit down and make a list. Every one of these goals requires you to clean your windshield to see what is ahead of you.  As we go down the highway of life we have a big broad windshield in front of us. We can see great distances and have great hopes of what I'd to come in our lives. In-order to see down that road, you must clea...

It is Just a Show

In the beginning I was not a watcher or a fan. There was a lot of talk. Chatter online. Then I decided to tune and check out all the hype. There is cattle, ranching, horses, politics, drama, and suspense. This show was a creation from the mind of a very creative horse jockey. The story is well written, the acting is superb, and the raw attitude is what brings people back each week. This show hits an audience that is hungry for real talk, real action, and real results. The bad part is it is all fiction.  The show is full of wrong information. Actions that make no sense. Calves do not jump up and start running immediately after being born. Most cattle ranches don’t take their hands and shoot them off a cliff if their employment has ended. They don’t brand their workers for show of loyalty. The good news is it is all fiction.  The characters in the show are people you either love or hate. They are characters that bring a lot of talent to the show. These people come from ma...
